The strategic goal of Gazprom Shelfproject JSC in the field of labor protection, industrial and environmental safety is to occupy a leading position among oilfield service companies of the Russian Federation in the field of ensuring the requirements of occupational safety, industrial and environmental safety, confirming this with actual results and best practices. We are constantly working to prevent and minimize the risks of anthropogenic or natural origin, the company annually develops action plans for the elimination and localization of the consequences of accidents and conducts scheduled exercises to practice response skills in dangerous situations, including with the involvement of emergency services.

The preservation of the life and health of employees during the development of offshore fields on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation is a priority in Gazprom Shelfproject JSC in relation to the results of production activities. The emergency rescue support system (RSS), along with the fire safety system and the industrial safety management system, today are the most important systems for ensuring the operation of offshore oil and gas field facilities (RSS facilities). The main tasks of the forces and means of the ERS system are: search and rescue of personnel of ERS objects in distress; assistance to ERS objects; elimination of spills at sea and protection of the coastline; evacuation of personnel of ERS objects; first aid to personnel of ERS objects affected by accidents and/or emergency situations.

Regulatory and legal , organizational and technical improvement of the system (Measures to Create a System Of Emergency and Rescue Support of Offshore Fields): coordination, permanent and day-to–day management bodies have been formed; work has been organized to create and improve the existing regulatory framework; a structural department for the organization of emergency and rescue support has been formed - the service for emergency and rescue support of civil defense and emergency situations; plans for emergency rescue support and liquidation of oil and petroleum product spills have been developed and put into effect; emergency rescue readiness (duty) has been organized in the areas of well construction by the forces of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Morspassluzhba"; complex exercises are conducted annually to eliminate emergency situations related to the accident of oil and gas production facilities in the Okhotsk, Barents and Kara Seas; interaction with federal executive authorities has been organized, as well as international cooperation within the Arctic Council member states on emergency rescue and oil spill response; daily collection and analysis of information on the state of safety at facilities has been organized, hydrometeorological support of emergency rescue readiness and oil spill response (OSR) operations has been organized.

Ensuring environmental safety

In the company, the environmental service is organized as a separate department and includes specialists with higher environmental education, whose job responsibilities include environmental protection and rational environmental management. Those responsible for ensuring environmental safety have certificates and certificates confirming training in the programs "Ensuring Environmental Safety by Managers and Specialists", as well as Professional Training in the Field of Waste Management of Hazard Classes I-IV of Persons Admitted to Waste Management. The objects operated by the company are assigned the III category of objects of negative impact on the environment when they are registered with the state, as a result of which: accounting for the volume of environmental impact (accounting in the field of waste management, accounting for emissions of harmful substances into the atmospheric air, accounting for the intake of water resources from water bodies); providing environmental reporting to the state authorities; making payments for negative impact on the environment (water bioresources, land reclamation).

Special assessment of working conditions

In order to identify harmful and dangerous production factors affecting human health in the process of work, Gazprom Shelfproject JSC conducts a special assessment of working conditions (SAWC).

A special assessment of working conditions is carried out at all workplaces of the company. Based on the results of the conducted SAWC, classes of working conditions are established, measures aimed at improving the working conditions of employees are being developed and implemented.

In accordance with paragraph 6 of Article 15 of Federal Law No. 426-FL dated 12/28/2013 "On Special Assessment of Working Conditions", this section contains information on the results of a special assessment of working conditions in Gazprom Shelfproject JSC.

Stop Cards

The program for the prevention of accidents at offshore facilities of Gazprom Shelfproject JSC using Stop Cards. The purpose of using Stop Cards is to reduce injuries, prevent or reduce harmful effects on personnel, the environment, property and the production environment by: interfering with dangerous actions of personnel, identifying possible sources of hazards and taking timely measures to localize them, timely transmission of information about the sources of hazards that cannot be eliminated on their own, involving integration of personnel into risk management processes.
